Claude Design is Anthropic's answer to the question of what happens when the model writing your code also makes the design decisions.

The setup: Claude reads your codebase and existing design files during onboarding to build a custom design system. From there you describe what you need — a landing page, a pitch deck, a feature flow — and it generates against your actual brand guidelines, colours, and typography rather than generic defaults. You can start from a text prompt, upload a PPTX or DOCX, or connect directly to your repo.

Editing is conversational but also precise: inline comments, direct adjustments, spacing and colour controls. Output can go to Canva, PDF, PPTX, HTML, or get packaged into a bundle for Claude Code to implement. The handoff-to-code loop is the genuinely new thing — design and implementation in the same system, no translation layer.
